Soft & Chewy – no rock-hard caramel here, just melt-in-your-mouth goodness.

1 can (397 g) sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
Melt the butter in a heavy-bottom pan over low heat.
Add the brown sugar and salt, stir until smooth.
Pour in the corn syrup, then slowly add the condensed milk. Keep stirring.
Cook on low heat, stirring constantly, until the caramel reaches 110 °C (soft ball stage ± 16–18 minutes).
Remove from heat, (no higher then 115 °C) stir in the vanilla.
Pour into a greased baking dish and let cool completely.
Cut into squares and wrap in wax paper.
Tips & Tricks
🌙 Test the caramel with the cold water method: drop a little into cold water, and if it forms a soft but shapeable ball, it’s ready.
🌙 Don’t rush the stirring – this is a slow and cozy recipe. Put on some music or a podcast and enjoy the process.
🌙 For a witchy twist, sprinkle a little edible glitter on top before it cools.
Serving Ideas
These caramels are perfect for cozy autumn nights with tea, as sweet gifts for friends, or as part of your homemade holiday candy boxes.
