If you’ve ever wished your soap looked like something straight out of an enchanted cottage garden — sweet berries, glossy embeds, soft whipped topping and pastel swirls — this is the craft you’ve been waiting for.

This Berry Garden Cold Process Soap Bar is fruity, magical, summery, and a little bit witchy.Think: blueberries, raspberries, dusty green leaves, a dreamy swirl, and a frosty mica dusting that makes the whole loaf sparkle like morning dew.
Below you’ll find the full recipe, every ingredient I used (with links!), and a clear step-by-step guide so you can make this soap exactly as I did.
Let’s get into the berry magic, babes. ✨
Ingredients & Where I Bought Everything
Everything linked below is exactly what I used while making this soap loaf.
🔥 LYE WATER
Make this first. Let it cool completely.
Sodium Hydroxide (Micro Beads)https://www.youwish.nl/en/shop/soap-making/cold-process-soap/raw-materials/sodium-hydroxide-micro-beads/
338 g distilled water
5 tsp sodium lactatehttps://www.youwish.nl/shop/zeep-maken/sodium-lactaat-natrium-lactaat/
Safety witch tip: Always add lye to water. Never the other way around. Your container must be lye-safe — some plastics melt.
Set aside and let it fully cool before adding it to the oils.
✨ Melt & Pour Embeds
We’re making:
• Blueberries (blue mica)
• Raspberries (pink/red mica)
• Leaves (green mica)
Melt & Pour base:https://www.youwish.nl/shop/zeep-maken/gietzeep/zeepbasis/gietzeep-sls-vrij-wit-youwish/
Molds I used:
Leaf mold: https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/1005002218496250.html
Raspberry & blueberry mold: https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/1005005174714701.html
How I made them:
Melt the M&P base in the microwave in short bursts.
Add your mica colorants.
Pour into the molds.
Unmold once fully set.
Make as many as you want — I made a lot! 🍓✨
These can be made days in advance.
✨ Hard Oils & Butters
Melt together:
321 g Coconut Oilhttps://www.ah.nl/producten/product/wi227140/biofan-coconut-oil
263 g Babassu Butterhttps://www.youwish.nl/en/shop/soap-making/babassu-nut-butter-oil-refined/
58 g Mango Butterhttps://www.youwish.nl/en/shop/soap-making/mango-butter-organic/
117 g Shea Butterhttps://www.youwish.nl/en/shop/soap-making/cold-process-soap/oils-butters/shea-nilotic-soft-shea-butter-cold-pressed/
Melt gently and stir the large pieces so you don’t overheat the mixture.
✨ Liquid Oils
263 g Olive Oilhttps://www.ah.nl/producten/product/wi58043/ah-olijfolie-extra-vierge
117 g Castor Oilhttps://www.youwish.nl/en/shop/cosmetics/make-mascara/oils-butters-en-4/castor-oil-kopie/
58 g Sweet Almond Oilhttps://www.youwish.nl/en/shop/cosmetics/make-mascara/oils-butters-en-4/sweet-almond-oil-cold-pressed/
Add all liquid oils to the melted butters.
✨ Fragrance Oil
This scent is fruity, fresh, and so perfect for a berry garden theme.
✨ Soap Loaf Mold
The exact mold I used:https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/1005010151905027.html
✨ Step-by-Step Tutorial
✨ 1. Prepare Your Lye Water
Add lye to water (never the opposite), stir, and let it cool. Add sodium lactate once cooled.
✨ 2. Melt Hard Oils
Stir often while melting so everything heats evenly.
✨ 3. Add Liquid Oils + Fragrance
Combine your melted hard oils with your liquid oils.Add fragrance oil and mix gently.
✨ 4. Add Cooled Lye Water
Blend with a stick blender until you reach light trace.Light trace = thin ribbons that melt back into the batter.
✨ 5. Divide & Color
Split your batter into three bowls:
• Green
• Purple
• Pink
Blend from lightest → darkest so you don’t need to clean your mixer between colors.
✨ 6. Create the Swirl
Pour the three colors back into one large bowl, layering them gently. Do NOT mix. The batter will create its own natural swirl — witchcraft, honestly.
✨ 7. Pour into the Loaf Mold
Fill almost to the top.
✨ 8. Whipped Cream Topping
Let leftover batter thicken.Scoop into a piping bag with a piping tip. Pipe your whipped topping across the loaf.
✨ 9. White Mica Frost
Dust a little white mica on top for the cutest frosty glow.
✨ 10. Add Embeds
Place your handmade blueberries, raspberries and leaves on top while the frosting is still soft.
✨ 11. Rest, Unmold & Cure
Let the soap rest for 48 hours, then unmold and slice into 10–12 bars.Cure for 8 weeks.
Patience is part of the spell ✨
🌙 Why You’ll Love This Soap
This bar is pure cottagecore fantasy. The embeds make it whimsical, the swirls make it artistic, the topping makes it dessert-like. It smells like summer berries and feels silky and luxurious.
It’s handmade magic — literally.
🌙 How easy was this craft?
★★☆☆☆
Not hard, just detailed — perfect for anyone who loves creative soap art. However because of the lye i will put this one on 2 out of 5 stars
